The First Few Days...

Here are some photos of our first few days in Ecuador.
Pete, Joseph and I on the campus of InterAmerican Academy.
There are lots of palm trees, birds and lush tropical flora.
It reminds me of "Fantasy Island!"
Dr. Jim O'Hara, the man who hired us back in February
at the University of Northern Iowa international
teaching job fair. Thanks Jim!

The patio outside our condo. We share this space with the other teachers in the
apartment complex. A great place for  relaxing, chatting and sharing meals.
The swimming pool outside our patio. So nice to swim and
cool down on a hot day. The hottest days are yet to come!

  1. Hi Teachers and Joseph,

This will be a great way to keep up to date. Now I hope I can persuade your Mom to try out
a few things on the computer including some email and this blog and utube, etc. \

  4. Hi Judy,

How about that, your Mom had a litle trouble with the keys cuz the white prited leter on some of them has been worn away. Now I have
glued on a litle piece of paper with the letter printed on the A, S, E, O, and L keys.

Tomorrow we will spend another few minutes
getting familiar with the mouse and the curser.

Touch typing takes practice and a lot of folks
I know are realy quick using H and P method.

    Happy Sunday,

    Dad

  10. Fantastic Pictures! I am so glad to get a better sense of it. I just saw Judy's parents in Delaware (20th class reunion...fun) Is your school in session? What's the word on the street? Is it a coup or not? I was going to say that I hope that you are well, but it is clear to me that you all are. Big Love,

    A.T.

  11. I love the updated pictures! What a beautiful location. News has it that the political situation is a little tenuous. Be safe!
What a great learning opportunity for Joseph.
